Join us for an emotional rollercoaster as we chart the tumultuous events of Holy Week in sublime sound.
Here is music of great depth and passion, spanning the rich polyphony of Renaissance composers Byrd, Gibbons and Sheppard to the epic modern day soundscapes of John Tavener and Eric Whitacre.
Our rich tapestry of pieces unravels both the agony and ecstasy of the Passiontide drama from the poignant moments of the Last Supper and Crucifixion to the joy and mystery of Easter Morning itself.
There is much contrast for the listener throughout, with other choral gems from leading composers Purcell, Bruckner, Poulenc and Ireland adding a further dimension to the programme.
Don't miss this mesmerising sonic delight!
